Allegheny Ice Cream provides a focused menu of classic frozen treats, catering to customers who appreciate quality soft-serve and related desserts. Their services are designed to be straightforward and satisfying.
- Soft-Serve Ice Cream: The primary offering, as noted in a customer review, is soft-serve ice cream. This is the main draw for many visitors who appreciate the simple pleasure of a classic cone. The quality of the soft-serve is consistently praised, with a reviewer stating it is "really good."
- Milkshakes: The menu also includes a variety of milkshakes, which are a popular choice. Customers can enjoy a blended, creamy drink made with their signature ice cream. One review, however, notes a significant issue with a "marshmallow milkshake" being covered in nuts, which was not requested, highlighting a need for careful ordering for those with allergies.
- Sundaes and Other Ice Cream Options: The shop offers sundaes, as well as other ice cream-based desserts. A customer mentioned receiving a hot fudge sundae, though they had issues with it melting and the toppings being at the bottom. This shows the availability of more complex dessert options beyond a simple cone.
- Portion Sizes: Customers have noted that the portions are "good for the price." This emphasis on value is a significant service feature that appeals to budget-conscious patrons and families. The shop aims to provide a generous amount of product for the money spent.
- Take-out Service: The nature of an ice cream shop suggests a focus on quick, take-out service. Customers can grab their treats and enjoy them at the clean tables provided, or take them with them to continue their walk or drive.
While the menu is not extensive, the focus on a few key services allows Allegheny Ice Cream to specialize and, for the most part, excel at providing delicious and satisfying frozen treats. The services offered are geared towards a casual, dessert-focused experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great view of the river and so close to the zoo! Only soft serve ice cream, milkshakes, and other ice cream options at the moment. The ice cream is really good though! No food like burgers or hot dogs at the time of writing this. Clean tables and good customer service. Good portions for price.
August 23 · Sam LI had a terrible experience here with my family. We ordered 6 menu items, 3 of which we ended up not getting at all. The orders that I did receive already had melted icecream. The 2 Sundaes were made the same, with all of the topping on the bottom (the hot fudge and strawberry). I got my hot fudge Sundae first. When I got it, the contents were already melting out of the bowl on the ground and all over my hands without being provided napkins. I asked if it could be put into another container, and they offered to and kindly remade it. Be warned, especially if you have allergies. The marshamllow milkshake was covered in nuts. This was not a request nor listed on the receipt I have. We have a nut allergy in the family. They were not remorseful for almost injuring someone. We waited an incredibly long time in the scorching sun. The other 2 employees there claimed they were both unsupervised minors that didn't know how to issue refunds. They were not trained and didn't have a manager or adult on the premises. For these reasons, it is my opinion that this is the worst food establishment I have given my money to.
July 01 · Courtney CrouchOnly one teenager working. All the ice cream was melted slipping out of containers as she handed it to us. Overflowing over the container. Had an issue over a nut allergy. Refused to give us a refund after giving us said nuts and we couldn’t eat it.
