★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m always on the lookout for great ice cream spots, and Anita has long been one of my favorite gelato brands. But this particular location stands out and has quickly become my go-to branch. The atmosphere is welcoming, and while it’s often busy, the line moves quickly thanks to the incredibly hardworking staff. Everyone is efficient, friendly, and full of positive energy — I was impressed from the moment I got in line until I paid. What really makes this location special is how generous they are with the scoops! I’ve never had such big portions at any other Anita branch. The flavors are as delicious as always — rich, creamy, and full of real ingredients — but getting such a big serving made it even more enjoyable.Sometimes at other places, portions can be inconsistent, but here it’s consistently generous. If you’re a fan of gelato or already love Anita, I highly recommend trying this location. It’s 100% worth the visit and has officially become my favorite branch. Excellent service, great vibes, and totally worth the price!
June 01 · Nitiphum S.🚨 Gem alert 🚨fantastic ice cream a lot of different varieties of flavors , you can sample as much as you want. I thought that was awesome. Definitely take your time on selecting the different types of ice cream. There’s a lot so see all the variety they have before ordering. Definitely will be back. Had a great time.
June 22 · Felix Rodriguez (FOX)Pricey but worth it 🍦 In New York, if there’s a line, chances are the food is worth the wait — and this ice cream spot was no exception. Paid around €10 for three scoops, but every bite was a treat. Bonus: you can sample flavors before making your choice!
June 24 · Rafael ZurWe went at 11pm and it was packed... Long line out the door. They had lots of staff working and the line moved really fast. They were very patient with us trying a few flavors despite how busy they were. The gelato was really good. Recommended.
July 18 · Jennifer MacLachlanWhile I have walked by plenty of times, I have never noticed Anita Gelato. But when you enter, it is a completely different experience. There was a mini line forming, and we waited a couple of minutes.Upon entering, I noticed the teal wall color with accents of gold, brightly lit with beautifully displayed gelatos, and clubby music. How I could not have noticed a place with such a distinct presence, especially using Penn Station very often, I would never know. The seating is across the gelato station with wooden chairs and marble print tables that had a pleasant contrast to the vibrant energy of the serving station. While it was surprisingly bigger than I had thought, I also thought it would be nice to sit outside in public seating on a breezy day as well, since the music did become a bit much later. There were a lot of selections, almost too many. It was a bit hard to navigate because we wanted to see all the flavors, but could not because there were people in front of us. I do not know if there is anything that can be improved so that customers can see all the flavors without feeling rushed, like a menu name list you can look at in line or something. We tried some samples, and chose a large size to try four flavors, which were the pistachio, lemon pie, hazelnut and chocolate, and strawberry with mascarpone.I am not a huge gelato fan, and while nothing truly stood out to me, I did like the strawberry with mascarpone and lemon pie. The pistachio got lost and I could barely taste it amongst the three other flavors, and the hazelnut and chocolate was too sweet for my preference. Regardless, they were fine; it might be a me thing since I am not particularly into gelato. The service on the other hand, was great! The one scooping my gelato was chill, and helped me try flavors without a second of annoyance. He even suggested the flavors when I asked, which was nice of him. There was no public bathroom, which was annoying, but I understand since it would probably be hard to maintain, especially with people possibly coming in without buying anything. While I would not come back because I do not personally like gelato, if a friend wants to go, I would be down, and would recommend it to a friend.
