Baltimore Hill Creamery Ice Cream Parlor Introduce
For anyone in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and those visiting its historic sites, Baltimore Hill Creamery Ice Cream Parlor offers a delightful and unique way to cool off and enjoy a sweet treat. Situated on the town's famous Baltimore Street, this spot is more than just a place to get a scoop; it’s an experience that combines the charm of a small, local business with an innovative approach to serving ice cream. With its commitment to providing high-quality, handmade ice cream and a friendly atmosphere, Baltimore Hill Creamery has quickly become a favorite for both locals and tourists looking for a break from their historic explorations.
The core of Baltimore Hill Creamery's appeal lies in its creative and customer-focused concept. The most talked-about feature is their "ice cream flight," which allows customers to sample a variety of flavors without having to commit to just one. As one review noted, the flight "intrigued us," and is a great option for those who have trouble deciding. However, the generous nature of the shop means that even these smaller scoops can be "massive," a surprising and welcome detail for customers who feel they get great value for their money. This commitment to generous portions is also evident in their regular scoops, which are praised for being not "expensive for the amount, which was a nice surprise." This focus on giving customers a satisfying and abundant product is a key reason for its positive reputation.
While the ice cream itself is a major draw, the overall customer experience is what truly makes the place special. Visitors have consistently noted the "nice" and friendly staff, and the atmosphere is described as a "cute little spot." The seating arrangement is also a positive highlight, providing a comfortable space for patrons to relax and enjoy their treats. This combination of quality products and a pleasant environment makes Baltimore Hill Creamery a standout in Gettysburg’s competitive ice cream scene. The shop’s ability to turn a simple ice cream purchase into a memorable and enjoyable outing is a testament to its focus on customer satisfaction.
However, it's important to note that some aspects of the experience may not meet everyone's expectations. One reviewer, while appreciating the generous size, also pointed out the use of Styrofoam, asking, "It's 2024, right?" This highlights a potential area for improvement in terms of sustainability and environmental consciousness. Another customer found the ice cream to be of "average quality," suggesting that while the portions are large, the flavor might not be a home run for every palate. These critiques, though minor, show that a local business is always evolving and that customer feedback is an important part of its growth and development. Despite these points, the overwhelming sentiment points to a positive and value-driven experience that keeps people coming back.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Cute little spot to cool off on a hot day. I ordered the 4 small scoop flight and my son just got regular ice cream. Staff was nice, prices aren't bad, and the seating was a nice set up.
April 28 · W CThe ice cream flight concept intrigued us, but they were massive scoops! We could not finish them. Served on Styrofoam? It's 2024, right? Average quality ice cream. It was not expensive for the amount, which was a nice surprise.
June 07 · John EvansWe thought we would stop in in a hot day to try a new ice cream shop in Gettysburg, patronize local business. The ice cream was tasty although it was so hot it started melting all over the place before we even sat down if we could have sat comfortably with a wobbly plate. The atmosphere did not leave us feeling like it would be a repeat experience. We tried it for the flight concept of trying a variety of flavors. One challenge is that if you don’t do a walk away ice cream cone and someone is sitting in the one table designated comfortably for 3 (we had four) it makes it difficult to balance your “flight” on your laps- we had to borrow a chair from the one other table and as fast as it was melting it was a hot mess. I would suggest purchasing walk away cones- and don’t let your parking expire or you can add a $40 meter parking ticket if you are less than three minutes late from your ice cream flight. We supported local business and the borough of Gettysburg on a hot flight -the ice cream was tasty.
June 20 · Emily YardleyWas not impressed. Easter weekend and the flavor of the day was Peppermint and Pumpkin roll. Waffle cones were stale. I had cookie dough ice cream but it was really just vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips. Only one bite of cookie dough in a large cone. I would not go back place really had no atmosphere.
April 19 · Jason BrentAmazing Ice Cream at this hidden gem! The best Cookies and Creme and Butter Pecan ice cream I've ever had! Our new go-to spot!
