Blue Cow Dairy Introduce
For residents of Brookville, Ohio, seeking a quick bite or a sweet treat, Blue Cow Dairy offers a unique, dual-purpose destination. As a local business that combines a dairy bar with a Lee's Famous Recipe chicken location, it provides a convenient option for those with varying cravings. This model makes it a spot where you can grab a full meal and a dessert all in one stop, a practical feature that appeals to families and individuals on the go.
However, the experience at Blue Cow Dairy, particularly the ice cream aspect, has garnered mixed feedback from customers. One reviewer expressed disappointment, stating that their shake "wasn't that good" and likened it to a mistake made while blending a drink at home. This suggests that the quality of the ice cream can be inconsistent. Another customer highlighted a more specific issue regarding the operation of the ice cream machine, noting that it is often shut down well before the advertised closing time. This has led to frustration for people who stop by for a late-night treat, only to be turned away. The reviewer compared this to a common issue at other fast-food establishments, where the ice cream machine is unreliable, but pointed out that it is particularly problematic for a business that advertises itself as an ice cream shop.
The combination with a Lee's Famous Recipe location is a double-edged sword. While it provides a convenient way to get a full meal, the fast-food environment may not always align with the expectations of a dedicated ice cream parlor. For customers looking for a traditional dairy bar experience, the dual nature of the business and its operational quirks can be a source of frustration. This feedback indicates that while Blue Cow Dairy serves a purpose, it may not be the first choice for those seeking a premium or perfectly consistent ice cream experience.
Despite the critical reviews, the establishment serves a purpose in the Brookville community. It provides a local option for soft-serve ice cream and milkshakes, and for some, the convenience of a combined fast-food and dessert stop is a major selling point. The business has a presence on major platforms and is a known location for locals, which is a key part of its function as a community business. Its existence offers an alternative to larger chains and other local establishments, catering to a specific niche of customers.
For Ohio residents, and particularly those in the Brookville area, understanding the unique nature of Blue Cow Dairy is essential for setting expectations. It is a place that functions as a fast-food and ice cream joint, and its service may be more aligned with a quick-stop mentality than a traditional dessert shop. For those who prioritize convenience and are aware of the operational limitations, it can still be a suitable option. However, for those seeking a dedicated, high-quality ice cream experience, the reviews suggest that they may want to call ahead or visit during a less busy time to ensure the ice cream machine is operational.
In summary, Blue Cow Dairy is a local business that serves a unique role in the Brookville community by combining fast food with a dessert menu. While it has received some negative feedback regarding the consistency of its products and the reliability of its ice cream machine, its existence provides a convenient option for locals. For those in Ohio, a visit to Blue Cow Dairy is an experience best approached with an understanding of its dual nature and operational nuances.

Blue Cow Dairy Reviews
Not gonna lie it wasnt that good. Was very disaponted. Was like if i were to make a shake at home and messed up on one of the steps
March 18 · Raymond BaxterIf you want ice cream the after 8pm I would call ahead or just forget this place. They shutdown the ice cream machine at least an hour and a half before closing. This location is a lee's famous recipe and ice cream together. On a Friday night I stopped to get something around 8:45 and was told they shut the machine off for the night. Kind of similar to McDonald's where you never know if the machine will be on or working. Well this is worse because they advertise themselves as an ice cream shop.
December 12 · Josh MyersThe ice cream is really good. It's another combo with a restaurant like Taco Bell and Long John Silver's. The closest DQ is in Englewood from here, so this is closer! There isn't as great a selection. You will find the taste really rich and satisfying. Looking for a quick treat? Right here it is.
October 04 · Gary DouglasI never heard of blue cow dairy. Is this part of general lee's confederate chicken, or is this its own shop?
March 06 · Dott SkwillisI'll be honest... I thought it was an ice cream shop. I didn't realize it was part of the Lee's drive through? I'm disappointed because I really wanted an ice cream shop (to go into).
