Brodie's Ice Cream Bar Introduce
For residents of Pennsylvania, especially those in Bucks County, finding a local ice cream shop is a cherished part of the community experience. Brodie's Ice Cream Bar, situated in Bensalem, has been a known spot for many, offering a variety of frozen desserts that are staples of the American ice cream parlor. While the area has several options for sweet treats, Brodie's aims to serve the local community with its classic menu of sundaes, milkshakes, and other cool delights. As a local business, it holds a unique place in the hearts of those who have visited over the years, and a simple stop for a sundae or a milkshake is often part of a regular routine for many. This article will provide an overview of the shop based on publicly available information and customer feedback, offering a clear and factual perspective for potential visitors.
The local experience at Brodie's Ice Cream Bar appears to be a mixed bag, with feedback that varies significantly. A customer who tried a Reese's Pieces sundae praised the "great" and "very friendly" customer service. However, they were disappointed with the quality of the ingredients, noting they received "dusting from the candy" rather than full pieces, which impacted their enjoyment. This sentiment suggests that while the staff can be a highlight, the attention to detail in product preparation may be inconsistent. A more critical review detailed a series of concerning observations. This customer described an instance of being overcharged, which they observed on two separate visits. They also raised serious concerns about food safety standards, including a staff member handling food without washing their hands after unloading a car, and the practice of putting a customer's returned, contaminated milkshake back into a freezer. These reviews highlight a potential for inconsistent experiences, with some customers enjoying their treats and others raising significant issues about practices and pricing.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I drive past this ice cream place daily. I finally stopped and bought a Reese‘s pieces Sundae. Customer service was great. She was very friendly, but when I got to my destination and started to eat my ice cream, I realized I got a bunch of dusting from the candy. If there was no more or it was only a few little pieces left she could’ve just told me and I would’ve requested something else.
October 23 · Natasha RuizThis place has really gone downhill recently. Unsanitary conditions observed. Staff is slow and clearly overcharging. Prices are clearly displayed. It’s a shame, this used to be a great spot, but I’m done visiting.Stopped in Wednesday 4/30. Asked the kid for a small hot fudge sundae with wet walnuts. Small Sunday is 5.99 which comes with 2 scoops, 1 topping (fudge), whipped cream and cherry. Extra toppings 1.29. With tax that’s 7.72. Kid rang me up at 8.99. I knew it was wrong but there was a line and they were busy so I sucked it up. I even tipped him.Today (5/3) I stopped in again. Ordered a small hot fudge sundae. No extra toppings. Girl rang me up 8.78 with tax. Should have been $6.35. She walked away before I completed the sale, so I held off. Before she had a chance to start making my sundae, the couple that was in line before me came back to the window and got her attention because the milkshakes they ordered were way too thin. I watched them swirl the cups and their shakes were the consistency of milk. I get it, mistakes happen. No big deal, right? Well I watched this girl take both of those shakes, which had now been contaminated by the customers who returned them, and put them right into a stand up freezer. Food safety standards dictate that they should have gone right into the trash. What is the intention? Gonna let ‘em thicken up in the freezer and serve them to the next customer who orders one? Big violation. While the girl went to remake the shakes, she asked an older gentleman (owner, maybe?) to make my sundae. This guy just finished unloading his car. I noticed that because he pulled in right before me. He went straight from unloading his car to making my order without even thinking about washing his hands. I get that they’re using scoops etc, but this is still a safety standard violation. Then I watched him take a scoop of fudge, which was clearly not in a warmer, and scrape that scoop into a random white plastic bucket that happened to be sitting on the counter. When he walked to the back with said container and slapped it into the microwave to heat up the fudge, I had enough. I’m not trying to have plastic from a container not rated for microwave use (which may not have even been clean) leached into my fudge.Fortunately I had not yet completed the sale on their computer so I canceled it and walked away. You guys need to get your act together. Take a food safety class. Make sure your pricing on the register matches your pricing on the menu taped to the counter in front of it. In the mean time, I’m letting everyone I know about your poor practices.
May 03 · JoshJust stopped by. Two teenagers in a messy prep area, milk container open on counter for at least 10 minutes, milkshakes flying in the air splattering all over the equipment. The best part, one kid was changing the garbage cans, less than 30 seconds later was preparing someone's order. He did not wash his hands. UNSANITARY CONDITIONS!Place is going downhill. I went to Rita's instead, it was 10x cleaner and better organized.
June 28 · nicolas szapielMy biggestPet peeve is paying for something and not getting what I paid for...it's a bummer, right? The draw back to employing teenagers is their lack of customer service but they will learn. Taking a break from Brodies for a while...to many other options locally.
June 02 · Allison KuzioraYou have to give it a try! They have best ice cream in the area. Somehow, even their sugar-free ice cream tastes better than most regular ice cream desserts from other shops.
