Brunswick Cream Introduce
Nestled in the vibrant community of Troy, New York, Brunswick Cream is a local establishment that has carved out a unique niche in the culinary landscape. While its name suggests a focus purely on frozen delights, this gem on Hoosick Road offers more than meets the eye, surprising patrons with an expanded menu that goes beyond the traditional ice cream parlor. For residents of Troy and the broader Capital Region, Brunswick Cream provides a convenient and often delightful stop for both sweet treats and savory quick bites. This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of Brunswick Cream, highlighting its dual appeal and what makes it a suitable spot for local users in the New York area.
Brunswick Cream has become a familiar name for many in the Brunswick and Troy area, evolving to cater to diverse tastes. It’s a place where you can grab a classic ice cream cone, indulge in a sundae, or, as some delighted customers have discovered, even enjoy a personal pizza. This versatility, combined with a commitment to serving its community, makes Brunswick Cream a unique destination. We'll delve into its location, the variety of services it offers, its distinctive features, and ultimately, why it continues to be a relevant and appealing choice for locals seeking quality food and refreshing treats.
---Brunswick Cream is conveniently located at 1333 Hoosick Rd, Troy, NY 12180, USA. This address places it squarely on Hoosick Road (Route 7), a major arterial road that connects Troy with other parts of Rensselaer County and beyond. Its position on a prominent thoroughfare makes it highly accessible for individuals driving from various directions within the Capital Region.
The location offers practical advantages for customers. Being on Hoosick Road means it's generally easy to spot and reach, whether you're heading out for errands, commuting, or simply looking for a local spot to grab a bite or a dessert. Parking is typically available, making it a convenient stop for those in vehicles. This ease of access ensures that Brunswick Cream remains a go-to choice for a quick and satisfying visit, whether you're craving ice cream or something savory, without significant detours or parking hassles for locals in Troy and the surrounding areas.
---Brunswick Cream distinguishes itself by offering a wider range of food items beyond what one might expect from a typical "cream" shop, in addition to its frozen treats. Based on customer feedback and common offerings for similar establishments, here's a general overview of their services:
- Ice Cream: As its name suggests, ice cream is a core offering. While specific flavors beyond vanilla, chocolate, and twist are not detailed, it can be assumed they offer a selection of classic soft serve and possibly hard ice cream, sundaes, shakes, and flurries with various toppings. They also offer ice cream pies.
- Personal Pizzas: A notable and positively reviewed offering is their personal pizzas. Customers have described them as "awesome" and a "great little pizza fast," providing a nice alternative to standard food truck fare. This indicates a focus on quick, satisfying savory options.
- Dairy-Free Options: While one customer review explicitly stated "No dairy free options at all," other information suggests that places offering Perrys ice cream might have dairy-free alternatives. Given the increasing demand, it's worth directly confirming with the establishment for current dairy-free selections like sorbets or plant-based ice creams. (Note: Publicly available menus for "Snowman in Troy," which appears to be related or in the same location, indicate "Vegan / Dairy Free" options such as "Chocolate Mint" and "Black Raspberry" as well as sherbets like "Lemon Lime," "Raspberry," and "Watermelon." This suggests the possibility of dairy-free options, despite the customer review. It is recommended for customers to verify directly.)
- Variety of Toppings: For ice cream, a wide array of toppings for sundaes and flurries would likely be available, including hot fudge, caramel, fruits, candies, and sprinkles, allowing for extensive customization.
- Other Dessert Items: Depending on the setup, other desserts like ice cream cakes or specialty treats might be offered.
- Quick Service Food: The mention of pizza as a "fast" option suggests a focus on efficient service, making it suitable for quick lunch or dinner stops.
Brunswick Cream offers several appealing features that make it a compelling choice for locals in the Troy area:
- Dual Menu Appeal: A significant highlight is the combination of ice cream and savory food, particularly the well-regarded personal pizzas. This allows Brunswick Cream to serve as a versatile stop for both a meal and a dessert, or simply a change of pace from typical fast food.
- Quality Savory Options: The positive feedback on the personal pizzas, described as "awesome" and a "nice change from a standard food truck," indicates a commitment to quality even beyond their primary ice cream offerings.
- Friendly Staff: A customer review noted that the "staff seemed nice," which contributes positively to the overall customer experience and fosters a welcoming atmosphere.
- Local Convenience: Its location on a major road in Troy makes it a highly convenient spot for quick visits, whether for a spontaneous ice cream craving or a grab-and-go meal.
- Addressing Dietary Needs (Potential): While there was a past comment about a lack of dairy-free options, the availability of brands like Perrys (which produces dairy-free options) and potential menu items like sherbets and plant-based ice creams (as seen on associated menus) suggests a possible evolution or existing offerings for those with lactose intolerance or dairy allergies. It’s always best to confirm the current selection directly.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Skipped the awesome ice cream today to try a personal pizza! Ordered with some extra sauce. Awesome! Great little pizza fast and a nice change from a standard food truck!
May 24 · C SNo dairy free options at all, around 35-45% of the US population is lactose intolerant.Staff seemed nice, just a shame they had no options. Perrys does make several dairy free ice creams.
July 30 · Jordan ElliottLiterally best soft serve in 518. Best soft serve we've ever had period. Great service, friendly and quaint atmosphere. Perfect summer spot. Never go anywhere else.
August 30 · Charlie HullPassing through and stopped for lunch and ice cream. I had the Italian chicken sandwich with fries and my sister had the chicken parm sub. Food was delicious and made fresh, fries were hot and crispy. Then ice cream to go and also did not disappoint.
July 28 · Mi WeStopped in last night for the first time. Delicious soft ice cream with generous sizes. The staff are very nice and work super fast through the line. They just added some picnic tables so it’s very family and dog friendly - they have doggie sundaes! We definitely be back - there is a food truck parked right next door and we have to try the fish fry or a chicken supreme.
