Bruster's Real Ice Cream Introduce
Bruster's Real Ice Cream, located in Amherst, New York, is a part of a national chain known for its freshly made ice cream and a wide variety of frozen treats. The local establishment on Transit Road aims to serve the community with its selection of desserts. The brand is built on a tradition of making its ice cream on-site, a practice that is intended to ensure a fresh product for every customer. The Amherst location strives to be a go-to spot for those seeking a sweet treat in the area. This overview is designed to provide local residents with a comprehensive look at the shop, including its location, offerings, and what past customers have said about their experiences. The information is based on publicly available data and customer reviews, offering a factual and transparent look at the establishment.
The core of the Bruster's brand is its commitment to quality ingredients and fresh products. Each location is known for having a rotating menu of flavors, which can provide a sense of variety for returning customers. However, customer experiences at the Amherst location have provided mixed feedback. One customer, who ordered a strawberry banana milkshake, expressed significant disappointment, stating it was "basically juice" and "leaking" from the cup. The customer concluded, "WILL NOT BE RETURNING," due to the product quality not matching the price. This feedback points to potential inconsistencies in product preparation and quality control at this specific location, which is an important consideration for potential patrons.
Another significant point of feedback concerns customer service and staff knowledge, particularly regarding food allergies. A customer who has a gluten allergy detailed a highly negative experience, stating that employees were unhelpful and unknowledgeable about ingredients. The customer reported being met with "blank stares" and "laughter" from employees when asking for ingredient information. The lack of staff training on critical topics like gluten allergies is a serious concern for many consumers and is a key takeaway from this review. This customer also noted a discrepancy in portion sizes, receiving a "barely 25% full cup" while friends received full scoops of the same item. This experience led the customer to conclude, "Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a food service establishment," and to actively recommend against visiting this location, suggesting an alternative instead.
Bruster's Real Ice Cream is situated at 5205 Transit Rd, Amherst, NY 14221, USA. This address places it in a high-traffic commercial corridor in the Buffalo metropolitan area. Transit Road is a major north-south thoroughfare, making the shop easily accessible by car from various parts of Amherst and neighboring towns like Williamsville, Clarence, and Depew. The location is part of a larger commercial area, with plenty of other retail and dining establishments nearby. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Ordered a strawberry banana milkshake which is usually thick enough to collapse the straw provided.... In addition to the huge gash from which the LIQUID was leaking into my hand..... It was basically juice I abandoned the straw and drank it from the rim like a normal drink. I mean for 12.97 I couldn't exactly throw it in the trash... WILL NOT BE RETURNING For more of that
June 30 · Nth DEGREEI went here last summer and honestly had the worst experience. I’m gluten free (allergy not preference) and when I asked which ice creams were safe to eat I was told “I don’t know”. I asked the employee to check, and she said she couldn’t.Instead of any of the workers inside of the restaurant checking for me, I was met with blank stares. After asking repeatedly for any ingredients at all, they told me none of the ice creams are gluten free.I asked why all of their ice creams would have wheat in them, to which I was told the employees didn’t actually know what gluten was (they thought it was lactose? Idk.)They finally told me that the fruit sorbets had no gluten. I ordered one scoop, and received a barely 25% full cup. My friends, who both ordered the same size and flavor as me received full scoops. The employees not knowledgeable and not helpful. Not only were they rude, but I was actually met with laughter from all of the employees in the back as I asked them to please check ingredients. I was obviously embarrassed and uncomfortable.I tell everyone I know not to go to Brusters.Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a food service establishment. Save yourself some time and go to Anderson’s instead.
June 25 · Lillie KlaimanThis was some of the best ice cream I've ever had. My area doesn't have a Bruster's and I'm still craving it a month later. The ice cream is so fresh and creamy. The taste and texture is perfect! I think I ordered a regular size of the flurry and it was HUGE, I couldn't even finish it! An they put sooooo much toppings in, I got a Reese's piece one and it was mixed in really well! No empty areas of just ice cream! Definitely recommend Bruster's.
