★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1When I'm out riding on the rail trail going to Sanford or Coleman or Clare and back, Cottage Creamery is my go to place to rest, relax, and have some delicious ice cream. I usually get butter pecan or coffee on a waffle cone. Service is fast and friendly, even when they are busy. Great place for family with kids, college students and anyone who loves ice cream.
June 28 · Carlo DamoclesThis place is awesome. You can play outside and enjoy the beautiful weather each spring, and summer. The artificial turf helps cut down on insects while you enjoy your treats. And we especially love the rail trail paths to help work off a few ice cream calories. The cotton candy ice cream is a must.
May 04 · Drew DulaneyBest ice cream in Midland, Mi. Prices are cheaper than most and portions are BIGGER than most. They have a ton of flavors, some limited time/seasonal ones. They are open year round and have such a welcoming environment. Kid friendly, adult friendly, everyone friendly. My go to ice cream place! These two pictures are of larger for 7$ (4 really big scoops-I get 4 different flavors)
September 10 · Jessica ThomasOur family’s favorite ice cream shop. We love this place because it’s a cozy spot where we can relax.
May 29 · MY KANGThis Ice Cream Shop? Location, Location, Location... and That's About It.Alright, let's talk about Cottage Creamery. If you're out biking the rail trail and desperately need a scoop, its spot is truly golden – like finding a gas station in the middle of nowhere when your tank's on E. That, my friends, is pretty much where the positives end. Here's the scoop (pun intended) on the ice cream itself: It's not homemade, despite them selling a wholesale brand actually named "Homemade" (which, yes, is hilariously misleading). And trust me, this isn't even one of the good wholesale brands. I've had plenty of genuinely tasty wholesale ice cream at other shops, but this isn't it. It honestly just feels like they're going for the highest possible profit margin on a subpar product.Seriously, save your money. You'd be better off grabbing a tub from the grocery store. Hudsonville, for example, is legitimately better. So, if you find yourself craving a cone near the rail trail, maybe just hold out until you hit a grocery store aisle.
