Dairy Boy Introduce
For those of us living in Crown City, Ohio, and the surrounding areas, the local dining scene is an important part of our community fabric. Dairy Boy, located on OH-7, has been a recognizable name, known for offering both ice cream and other food items. Like many local establishments, it holds a place in the memories and routines of residents. However, recent public feedback from our neighbors suggests that Dairy Boy's operational status and service quality have faced challenges. This overview aims to provide a factual and up-to-date perspective for locals, based on available information, helping you understand the current situation regarding this Crown City establishment.
Dairy Boy is located at 25804 OH-7, Crown City, OH 45623, USA. State Route 7 is a significant thoroughfare in this part of Ohio, making the location generally accessible for residents in Crown City and nearby communities. Historically, its roadside presence aimed to offer convenience for those seeking a quick stop for food or a treat. Being on a main route means it's relatively easy to find for anyone passing through or making a dedicated trip from within the local area. However, recent customer feedback has indicated potential issues with the consistency of its operations, including reports of the business rarely being open. This directly impacts the accessibility of its services, regardless of its physical location. For locals, consistent operating hours are crucial for planning visits, and recent experiences suggest this has been a point of concern. While the address itself is straightforward, potential patrons should be aware that recent reviews indicate challenges in finding the establishment open or able to answer phone calls.
Based on past operations and recent customer feedback, Dairy Boy traditionally offered a combination of services, aiming to cater to both sweet cravings and savory appetites. In its prime, the services offered included:
- Ice Cream: The core of its identity as "Dairy Boy" suggests a primary focus on various ice cream treats. While specific flavors are not detailed in recent reviews, the name implies a range of soft-serve or scooped ice cream options.
- Pizza: Customer reviews frequently mention pizza as a food item that was available for order. This indicates a broader menu beyond just desserts, aiming to serve as a casual dining option.
- Other Food Items: Beyond pizza, reviews mention "other food items," suggesting a menu that might have included typical diner or fast-food fare, such as sandwiches or appetizers. One review specifically mentions "food items" that were previously ordered.
However, it is important to note that recent customer experiences highlight significant issues with the availability and quality of these services. Reviews mention the business "hardly ever open" and a decline in "food quality," including items "not cooked properly." These comments suggest that while these services may have been historically offered, their current availability and standard are highly questionable based on recent public feedback.
When considering Dairy Boy, it's important for locals to be aware of certain features and highlights that have been brought to light through community feedback. While some establishments are celebrated for positive attributes, the current public discussion around Dairy Boy focuses on operational and quality concerns. Based on recent customer reviews, the primary "features" and "highlights" from a local perspective include:
- Past Reputation: Approximately "3 or so years ago," Dairy Boy was described by a customer as "a great place to order a pizza or other food items from." This indicates a period where the business was positively regarded for its food offerings.
- Reported Decline in Quality: A significant and recurring highlight from recent reviews is the observation that the business "has 100% went downhill over the years." This indicates a noticeable decline in the customer experience compared to its past.
- Operational Inconsistency: A key "feature" highlighted by customers is the unreliability of its operating hours, with comments like "hardly ever open" and "not answering the phone." This directly impacts a local's ability to utilize the business.
- Food Quality Issues: Reviewers specifically mention "food quality way down" and items "not cooked properly." This is a critical highlight for potential customers considering ordering food.
- Reported Business Closure: One customer review explicitly states, "Sadly the dairy boy has gone out of buisness." While official confirmation from the business itself is not available in the provided data, this is a significant piece of customer feedback that locals should be aware of.
- Comparison to Other Local Establishments: One review makes a direct comparison, stating, "The giovannis sucked." While this is a subjective opinion and not directly about Dairy Boy's features, it shows that locals are comparing their experience at Dairy Boy to other dining options in the area.
These points represent the most prominent aspects of Dairy Boy as highlighted by recent local patrons, primarily focusing on the challenges and changes the establishment has reportedly experienced.

For locals in Crown City, Ohio, determining if Dairy Boy is suitable for their needs currently requires careful consideration of the available public information. Historically, a local establishment offering both ice cream and other food items like pizza could be a convenient stop for families and individuals. Such a place often serves as a casual dining option and a spot for a quick treat. However, based on recent and consistent customer reviews, the current situation suggests significant challenges with Dairy Boy's operations and service quality. Reports of the business being "out of business," "hardly ever open," and experiencing a decline in "food quality" mean that, from a local perspective, relying on Dairy Boy for a consistent and high-quality experience may be difficult at this time. When a local establishment is not reliably open, or if the quality of its offerings has significantly decreased, it becomes less suitable for the community’s regular needs. Locals value dependability, good service, and quality products from their neighborhood businesses. While the address on OH-7 is accessible, the reported operational issues override this convenience. Therefore, based on current public feedback, locals seeking a reliable ice cream shop or a consistent dining experience might need to explore other options in the area until clearer and more positive information about Dairy Boy's status and quality becomes available.

July 19 · Ada PotterThe review before mine is spot on. 3 or so years ago it was a great place to order a pizza or other food items from. But it has 100% went downhill over the years. So much so that I haven’t ordered in probably 6 months. From not answering the phone, hardly ever open, food quality way down and not cooked properly. It just is not worth it anymore.
March 07 · RwdMilkshake was terrible! My husband and I got the banana split on. Tasted like a nasty chocolate milkshake. I used to drive up RT 7and around Miller hill and the Dairy Boy was a great place to get lunch. I knew they closed for a while, but whoever's got it now must not care for their customers. One girl made sandwiches. One girl worked the window and made the shakes.. they need better staff and more of them.
September 06 · DEBBIE LEWISStay away from this place. Food is terrible. You never know what you will get in your order. They are only open a couple hours a day as well which is pointless not to mention it's little kids working there.
February 21 · DropOff FanaticThis establishment has went WAY down hill over the last 2-3 years. Will not get anything but ice cream here anymore
