The brand's reputation is built on its world-famous soft serve, which has a distinct, rich flavor and a uniquely smooth texture. For people in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas, this location has become a reliable place to grab a frozen treat that they know and love. The menu features a wide variety of items that have become staples in the dessert world, including the famous Blizzard Treat, which is so thick it's served upside down. This classic gimmick is a fun part of the experience that customers of all ages enjoy.
It is worth noting that a few customer experiences have pointed out some inconsistencies, such as issues with getting extra toppings or with the presentation of pre-made ice cream cakes. However, the employees are often described as nice and accommodating, willing to help with requests like decorating a birthday cake. While the quality can sometimes be "a hit or miss" as one reviewer mentioned, the core products—the ice cream itself—are what keep customers coming back. The sheer variety and the classic taste are a major draw, making it a go-to spot for many in the community who are in search of a specific treat that only Dairy Queen can provide.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This location can be a hit or miss in my opinion. It is inside 'The Mall' and not too busy right now.I ordered the reeses peanut butter, brownie bluzzard. I always ask for no brownies extra reeses and peanut butter. I usually don't get any extra even if I am saving them money by not adding fudge brownie. Today wasn't any different.Service was better for the most part.
July 11 · Corina MayoI went in today to get an ice cream cake for my son's birthday. Their pre made cake selection wasn't great, and they didn't have any blizzard cakes pre-made. Most of the other dq locations have a couple of blizzard cakes pre-made, but I was able to find a cake that sufficed. The employees were nice and decorated it for me with what I wanted it to say. Most of the cakes had borders on them that were damaged or smashed up against the side of the container. It was slim pickings, and I had to go with the one that had the least amount of icing damage to it. It was still a little wonky, but it will get eaten...I just hope it isn't freezer burnt from sitting in the case too long. It looks like that could be the case after opening it and looking at the top. I will be highly disappointed if it is as the cake was nearly $40. Thankfully, it wasn't freezer burnt, but the ratio to chocolate and vanilla ice cream was way off.
October 07 · Melanie PhillipsIt was very unprofessional. They don’t wear gloves when handling food. They use entirely improper use on their equipment. I work for Dairy Queen in summit mall. This place at Robinson mall in Pittsburg,Pa. is very nasty. They don’t use their equipment properly. As they should. It’s highly disgusting. I would never eat or buy anything from this Dairy Queen again.
April 02 · Jay CreamWas with my 6 and 11 yo daughters Christmas shopping today and wanted to get them the snow man treat and to our disappointment the woman at the register told me they were closed but it isn’t even 8 yet and the site says it closes at 8 pm. This was disappointment number one. Then to make things worse she looked at me with a moody face and said “do they have to have these”? I just left. Who “has to have” ice cream? What a terrible customer service, shame on you Dairy Queen! This isn’t the first time I get the door shut at my face at this place. Never going back!!! Rude!!! That’s not how you treat customers.
December 20 · Priscila GI was first introduced to this place by a friend of mine who absolutely loves it here. I was then brought here by another friend who bought me a smoothie which I had picked out for my husband who was the smoothie lover of the household. I took one sip and I fell in love! This place has introduced me to my love for smoothies. I was then introduced to their julius' by the first friend I mentioned and loved those as well! The staff is super friendly and have recognized us as regulars memorizing my husband and my order every time we come. It is my favorite place of all time to come get smoothies.
