Dairy Queen (Treat) Introduce
In the bustling city of Akron, Ohio, the Dairy Queen (Treat) on West Market Street stands as a popular destination for those seeking a quick and classic frozen treat. As a well-known franchise, this location offers the familiar menu and iconic soft-serve that has delighted patrons for generations. The establishment is a go-to spot for many in the community, providing a wide variety of delicious desserts, from simple cones to the famous Blizzard treats. This Dairy Queen is a part of the daily rhythm of the city, a place where people can easily stop for a sweet indulgence. However, the customer experience at this specific location can be a mixed bag, as evidenced by a variety of public reviews. While some customers may have positive experiences, others have encountered issues with product quality and service. This is a common challenge for many busy, high-volume restaurants, where consistency can be a difficult goal to maintain. The overall identity of the place is built on the strength of the Dairy Queen brand, which is known for its classic soft-serve ice cream and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. Despite some of the negative feedback, the enduring appeal of the Dairy Queen menu means that this location continues to be a staple in the community. It’s a place that holds a lot of potential for providing a great experience, and many customers will continue to visit for the classic treats they love, even while hoping for improvements in service and quality control.
The product offerings at this Dairy Queen location are extensive, featuring everything one would expect from a DQ Grill & Chill. Their menu includes not only the standard soft-serve ice cream but also a wide array of Blizzard flavors, sundaes, and shakes. For those looking for a savory meal, they also serve a selection of burgers, hot dogs, and chicken strips. However, some of the customer feedback points to inconsistencies in both the product and the service. For example, a customer who ordered a birthday cake for her husband was extremely disappointed with the lack of chocolate and crumb filling, describing it as "almost all vanilla ice cream" and not worth the price. This same customer also noted a lack of follow-up from the store after a complaint was escalated by the corporate office, which is a major point of frustration. Another review highlighted a poor experience with a "snotty" and unhelpful employee while trying to order a frozen hot chocolate that was not made correctly. This type of feedback suggests that while the menu is diverse, there may be challenges in execution and customer care. On the other hand, many Dairy Queen locations are known for having great staff and delicious food, and this location may have staff who strive for this. It's clear that while the menu is a strong point, the overall customer experience can be inconsistent and may vary from visit to visit, depending on the particular circumstances and staff members involved. The potential for a good experience is there, but so is the risk of a disappointing one.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Well unfortunately it appears you have to give at least 1 star. I bought a cake for my husband's birthday in June. It was almost all vanilla ice cream, minimal amount of chocolate and the crumb filling didn't exist. I could have gone to the grocery store and bought 2 containers of vanilla ice cream and it wouldn't have cost the $25 I paid for that cake! I emailed and called DQ headquarters, they forwarded my complaint to the store and told them to refund my money. Never heard anything from the store! Called again the complaint was escalated and I still have not heard a word from the store. Last time i give them my money! Too bad the home office of DQ can't step up and do something...
August 20 · Anita SuppHorrible service I ordered a frozen hot chocolate. They took forever to make because they were goofing off. Then they didn't make it right and it tasted horrible. I said if they didn't know how to make it I'd take a refund. The girl was very snotty and said we didn't say we couldn't make it. It was remade still wasn't made right. I said forget it and took it anyways just to throw away. Maybe there should be an adult watching over these kids. So customers actually get good services
March 06 · Aye-Jay DevereuxI only gave them one star because you can't leave ZERO! I had the worst experience with this Dairy Queen last week. I went there when they first opened to pick up an ice cream cake for my son's birthday. First of all, the woman behind the counter couldn't be bothered to get off her personal phone call to help me, she shouted from the phone "You want something?". When I asked for an ice cream cake she said they didn't have any. When I asked if she could please check, she huffed and puffed "Oh, hold on!" She returned with a blank ice cream cake for me, surprise! I asked her to please write on it for me and she told me to come back that evening at 6. I told her what I wanted written for my son and left, noticing she didn't even write it down but returned to her phone call. When I returned after 6pm, she was long gone and of course there no cake for me. HORRIBLE!
February 17 · Lisa PRidiculous I ask how much the Popsicle ice cream the Asian lady said the box was 6 dollar since you work at the mall your employee discount 5.50 so I order 2 box one minute later said oh it's 7.99 the price just raised for 7.99 I was said you said 5.50with my mall discount she said yes but price just increase for 7.99 and she already swipe my card before I declined the order. This place is ridiculous never going back ere again. They will cheat you... The 5.50 price become 7.99
June 30 · Mari MaximovichI purchased a moolatte. It had a sour unpleasant taste. When I asked if they would replace it with something else they refused. My mom had a few sips too and agreed both me and my mom got sick off it an hour later. We called the manger later and they claimed everything was fresh and would not do anything about it still.
