Frosty Boy Introduce
For anyone in Michigan seeking a classic, refreshing treat, Frosty Boy in Oxford is a name that often comes to mind, especially for those who frequent the Polly Ann Trail. This local ice cream shop has long been a fixture in the community, offering a wide array of frozen delights that cater to every taste. From soft-serve cones to elaborate sundaes and shakes, Frosty Boy provides a quintessential small-town ice cream experience that feels both nostalgic and satisfying. It’s a place where a sweet reward is just a short walk or bike ride away, making it a beloved stop for outdoor enthusiasts and local families alike. The shop's charm is rooted in its simple, direct approach to serving up happiness, one scoop at a time, and its deep connection to the surrounding area.
The reputation of Frosty Boy is a mix of high praise for its products and varied experiences with customer service. As one happy customer noted, it's a "perfect stop for something refreshing along the Polly Ann Trail!" and praised the "tons of tasty treats on their menu." This highlights the shop's strengths: a great location and a diverse menu that appeals to a wide audience. The positive review goes on to commend the staff, who were "incredibly kind" and even provided a free cup of water, showcasing a level of hospitality that can make a big difference. This kind of friendly gesture creates a strong sense of community and customer appreciation, which is crucial for a local business. The promise to "definitely be stopping by again" speaks volumes about the positive and memorable impression the shop left on this visitor.
However, it is also important to acknowledge that not all customer experiences have been uniformly positive. Another review, while acknowledging that the "ice cream is very good," raised significant concerns about the owner's demeanor, describing her as "one of the rudest people EVER!!" The review describes feeling that questions about the menu were met with a "VERY snide" attitude, leading the customer to vow never to return and to instead patronize a competitor. This contrasting feedback illustrates that while the product quality is high, the customer service experience can be inconsistent. It’s a crucial point for potential visitors, as a welcoming and helpful staff is often as important as the quality of the food itself. For a local business, building a loyal customer base often hinges on the personal interactions that define the experience. Despite this, the consistent praise for the food and the positive interactions with other staff members suggest that Frosty Boy remains a destination worth considering for its delicious offerings, especially given its convenient location and wide-ranging menu.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The ice cream is very good but the owner is one of the rudest people EVER!! If you ask her a question about the different desserts she gets VERY snide and makes it clear that she DOES NOT want to take the time to answer your question. We won't EVER go back!! We'll be heading to Culvers from now now where they are ALWAYS so nice and appreciate their customers!!!
June 28 · Sherry HughesPerfect stop for something refreshing along the Polly Ann Trail! They have tons of tasty treats on their menu!! The staff are incredibly kind and gave me a free cup of water to fill my running pack 😊 if I’m ever in the area again, I definitely will be stopping by to get their ice cream!!
April 29 · Sarah MillerNever had worse service at any establishment in Oxford. When I questioned why they served warm Vernors in my float which melted immediately the manager rudely said they don't carry cold pop and slammed the door in my face. I'll never take my family back here, and wouldn't recommend anyone does. Not the outing we had hoped for tonight.
May 31 · Scott ChapmanPrices are never correct, the total always comes out to be $2-3 higher than expected. Also, workers attitudes are never positive. Honestly it's mediocre icecream and Sundays are always dissipointing. Brownie delight is 1/2 white chocolate cosmic like brownie with icecream for almost $8 (despite menue). Cream Puff is literally a strawberry shortcake like pastry you can get in a 6 pack from Kroger, icecream, fudge and icecream for about $8. For those prices might as well go to Cooks Dairy for much better quality and service or Culver's.
June 10 · Ainsley HicksWhile the ice cream was excellent the staff was very rude hence the 2 stars. I have driven past here many times but never tried them and decided to finally go. Drove 30 minutes just to try them. As soon as I got up to the window and starting looking at the menu the girl working the window opened it and asked what I wanted. I told her I needed a few minutes to look at the menu which seemed to annoy her and she slammed the window. When I was ready to order she snatched my card out of my hand and slammed the window in my face. She was not friendly and seemed like every customer was a bother. While the ice cream was delicious I will not be returning due to the poor service.
