★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My husband took me for my 50th birthday to hell and back. It was a great trip. We had a blast.
July 20 · Angela DetweilerDespite living in Michigan for the first 18 years of my life, I never found myself in Hell until recently. We drove up from Tennessee to visit family near Flint recently. For years, my son has said he wanted to visit Hell, Michigan, on our next visit, so we carved out some time on our trip to go to Hell.Although it's a "blink and you'll miss it" kind of spot, there is a certain novelty and charm to the place. Obviously, there are plenty of opportunities to take pictures to show everyone that you've been to Hell. The Screams From Hell Gift Shop and Creamatory were the standouts for me. They have a ton of souvenirs that you can pick up to show you've been to Hell and back. I got one of their poker chips, and I picked up a few postcards, too.You can actually mail your postcard from the store, but I opted to hold onto mine as a keepsake. Now, you do have the option of getting your postcard stamped and burnt. Yes, I said burnt. I stood in line and watched the woman at the register take a lighter, hold it up to my postcard, and proceed to burn markings on it as if I had just returned from the actual fiery inferno.Don't pass up on the Creamatory while you're there, either. I got a single-scoop cone of their graham cracker-flavored ice cream, and it was fantastic.Oh, and you can actually be mayor of Hell for the day.We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Again, it's not a big place, but we had a blast. I'm glad we made time in our short vacation for a brief moment in Hell.
May 30 · Brent HinsonSuch a great lil shop! Love stopping from our Hell cruises. I’ve gotten a few shirts from them and love them. Even better if the musician is out playing music!
