Ice Cream Jubilee - Navy Yard Introduce
jubilee ice cream navy yard
Located in the vibrant Navy Yard neighborhood, Ice Cream Jubilee is a standout destination for locals in Washington, D.C. This shop is not your average ice cream parlor; it has earned a reputation for its handcrafted, inventive flavors that are a true reflection of the city's diverse and creative spirit. Founded by Washingtonian Victoria Lai, Ice Cream Jubilee has become a local "darling" known for sparking joy with its unconventional and delicious creations. From classic favorites to unique seasonal offerings, the shop provides a memorable dessert experience that goes beyond the ordinary. This article will provide a detailed and factual guide to what makes this specific location a must-visit for anyone in the District of Columbia.
The core philosophy of Ice Cream Jubilee is to create innovative flavors that tell a story and delight the palate. This commitment to creativity is what sets them apart. While the shop offers classic flavors like Bold Vanilla and Chocolate Chocolate, it's the more adventurous options that truly capture the imagination of its customers. A review praising the "red bean almond cookie" flavor, for instance, described it as a "tasty" mix that was like a "fortune cookie that has been massed up and mixed with a little red bean paste." This kind of detailed feedback highlights the unique and successful flavor combinations that Ice Cream Jubilee is known for.
While the creative flavors are a major draw, the customer experience can be a point of discussion. One customer had a very negative experience regarding a special BOGO deal, claiming they were overcharged and that the business had a "customer is always wrong" attitude. Another review expressed disappointment with a specific flavor, the "mango sticky rice," noting a "dried mango flavor that covered up the next two flavors." These reviews, while isolated, are important for potential customers to consider. However, other feedback from sources highlights a very positive experience, with one person noting a staff member was "super nice" and another saying they "would give this place 200 stars if I could." This range of reviews suggests that individual experiences can vary, but the unique product and high-quality flavors are a consistent draw for many.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If I could give zero I would. Asked for two scoops to take advantage of the ice cream day BOGO and was charged full price for a double, even after I asked for the deal. Horrible business, customer is always wrong!
July 20 · Howdy RussellWe tried several different flavors but settled on the red bean almond cookie. It was quite tasty and was like a fortune cookie that has been massed up and mixed with a little red bean paste. The one that we did not like was the mango sticky rice, it had a dried mango flavor that covered up the next two flavors we tried.
March 30 · Alex DeMartinoWe've gone to Ice Cream Jubilee for years and still love it! It's honestly the best ice cream I've ever had! With wild flavors and a distinct local vibe, there's not a better option to take out of towners or just for a quick date night snack. My personal favorite flavors are the Marionberry, Banana Bourbon caramel and guava sorbet. Can't recommend highly enough!
September 17 · Matt JexWe arrived at around 6pm and there was still a line outside. There was quite a variety of ice cream and we picked several flavours. The carrot cake flavour was very interesting - there was actual carrot in the ice cream. Maybe the line was long, the staff was somewhat impatient.
July 11 · Roy ChanBest ice cream spot in Navy Yard. Their flavors are unique and really well balanced. There are options that are dairy free which excited my guest who is lactose intolerant. I wasn't planning on getting anything but when I sampled the honey lavender (which I actually get every time) I just couldn't resist and got couple of scoops :) I also love the guava passion fruit sorbet. Most of the ice creams are good.... Rarely have I tried anything that disappointed me!There's a bit of a wait in nicer days. It gets crowded because they have limited staff. I believe only two or three people. But it's really well worth the wait.My only suggestion to management would be to allow customers who want to purchase ready packaged ice cream to do so without having to wait in line. A lot of times I turned away cause I didn't want to wait.
