Justine's Ice Cream Parlour Introduce
For over three decades, Justine's Ice Cream Parlour has been more than just a place to grab a cone; it's a cherished local institution in the heart of St. Michaels, Maryland. It all started in 1987 when Lou and Justine Gilbert decided to open a small, old-fashioned ice cream shop named after Justine. Their dream was to create a cozy, community-focused spot where people could gather and enjoy simple, sweet pleasures. This vision quickly became a reality, and the shop became a beloved local hangout. In 1990, the torch was passed to new owners, Tom Quimby and David Smith, who honored the original tradition while also adding their own creative spark. They introduced iconic creations like the Creamsicle Shake and the Chocolate-Covered Cherry Shake, which quickly earned the parlor a reputation for unique and delicious treats. Since then, Justine's has received numerous accolades, including being named one of the top 10 ice cream shops in the U.S. by Chocolatier Magazine in 1999 and a feature on the hit food challenge TV show, "Man vs. Food." Despite the national recognition, Justine's remains deeply rooted in its St. Michaels community, offering a nostalgic and welcoming atmosphere that locals have come to love. The parlor’s long-standing success is a testament to its commitment to quality, community, and creating sweet memories for every person who walks through its doors. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Been coming here for a couple years. My husband always gets a hot fudge sundae. The last two times the sundae has been very small with very little whipped cream and hot fudge. We will not be getting another, miss what it used to be and the price isn't cheaper for the cheaper product
May 24 · Daisy RothVintage icecream shop with yummy flavors! We ate too fast and forgot to take photos of the icecream 🍦 Maybe next time.
April 30 · J HLoved this place. Located in the heart of St. Michael's.Went there for an ice-cream and got a great experience. From the posters inside to the full story of Justine's ice-cream directly from the owner. So many flavors and all of them so delicious.
May 26 · Maria ProcaDelicious ice cream shoppe in a quaint, charming town! Caramel cold brew and cookies & cream flavors were amazing! Within walking distances from several restaurants and cute stores.
July 15 · Darcy DMy wife and I were looking forward to this place all weekend while we were in town, and it didn't disappoint! We both ordered shakes, the German Chocolate and the Chocolate-Covered Marzipan shakes. Although they both sort of look the same in the pictures, they were delicious and unique. The German chocolate one had a lot of coconut in it and a whipped cream topping. The Marzipan shake had a great Marzipan flavor. It was nice to see the workers were both wearing masks! Definitely a good dessert shop!
