Kabul Kabab Introduce
For those in the New York region, particularly in West Seneca and the surrounding Southtowns, Kabul Kabab presents a truly unique and exciting culinary destination. While it may not be a traditional ice cream shop, it has quickly become a local favorite for its exceptional dessert offerings and the promise of authentic Afghan cuisine. This establishment stands out in a region where international restaurants are less common, providing a rare opportunity for locals to experience new and exciting flavors. What truly sets Kabul Kabab apart is its dual menu: a wide variety of beloved local Perry's ice cream and an incredible, authentic Afghan ice cream called Sheer Yahk. This fusion of familiar and foreign makes it a must-visit spot for any adventurous food lover. This article will provide a detailed look into what makes Kabul Kabab a cherished part of the New York community and why it's a place locals should enthusiastically support.
Kabul Kabab has already made a significant impression with its dessert menu. One of the most praised aspects is its extensive selection of Perry's ice cream, a beloved local brand. A customer review highlighted this, noting, "They have a wide variety of Perry's ice cream. One of the largest selections I've ever seen." This ensures that even those looking for a familiar favorite will find plenty to choose from, including popular flavors like "Graham Canyon" and dairy-free options like "Dairy Free Peanut Butter and Cookies." This broad appeal makes it a great stop for groups with different preferences, as there is truly something for everyone. The shop's ability to cater to a diverse clientele while still maintaining a unique identity is a key part of its early success and strong local support. The friendly service, as described in the reviews, also adds to the positive experience, making customers feel welcome and valued.
However, the real star of the show at Kabul Kabab, and the reason many will likely return, is the Afghan Sheer Yahk. This is a rare and unique treat that provides a truly memorable culinary experience. As one curious customer described, it was "something I've never heard of, and I like to try new things." The staff's willingness to explain the treat, describing it as "like frozen milk," helps newcomers understand what they're getting into. The description of the dish is mouth-watering: "frozen regular, dry, and condensed milk with some saffron, cardamon, pistachios, and a little bit of rose water." The reviewer's praise is glowing, calling it "honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten" and noting its unique combination of "icy, sweet, and yet has a warm taste from the cardamon." The delicate balance of flavors, where the rose water is "not overpowering," is a testament to the authentic craftsmanship of the dessert. This kind of unique and high-quality offering is what makes Kabul Kabab a true standout in the region.
Beyond the desserts, Kabul Kabab holds the promise of being an even more significant culinary destination once its full kitchen is operational. A review mentioned, "Afghan foods coming soon once the kitchen is completed in the next few weeks!" The anticipation for authentic Afghan cuisine is high, and this expansion will transform the establishment from a great dessert spot into a full-fledged international restaurant. For a region that, as a reviewer noted, doesn't have "many international restaurants in the Southtowns," this is a huge development. It presents an opportunity for the community to explore a new culture through food, and for local patrons to show their support. The dedication to providing a full, authentic dining experience is evident, and the enthusiasm from customers who "will happily make the hour drive from Great Valley to come back and try their actual food" speaks volumes about the potential of this place.
In addition to its exceptional food, the people behind Kabul Kabab are what make it truly special. The friendly and helpful staff, as evidenced by the gentleman who patiently explained the Sheer Yahk, create a welcoming environment that makes a visit a joy. The customer's regret at only getting a small size of the Afghan ice cream and their eagerness to return for a larger one is a powerful endorsement of the quality of the product. The overall positive reception from the community, even before the full menu is available, demonstrates a strong local appetite for unique and high-quality culinary experiences. Kabul Kabab is more than just a business; it's a bridge to a new culture and a testament to the power of delicious, authentic food. Its presence in West Seneca enriches the local food scene and provides a wonderful new option for residents and visitors alike. It is a place that promises to be a long-standing fixture in the community, cherished for its unique flavors and warm atmosphere.

Kabul Kabab Reviews
Really delicious Afghan ice cream, Afghan foods coming soon once the kitchen is completed in the next few weeks! We don't have many international restaurants in the Southtowns, so let's give this one our support!
July 22 · Caleb JohnsonWe stopped over here tonight after eating at the new Mexican restaurant next door. They have a wide variety of Perry's ice cream. One of the largest selections I've ever seen. Mom got her Graham Canyon, and Casey got the Dairy Free Peanut Butter and Cookies. Now my eyes were immediately drawn to the Afghanistan Sheer Yahk. Something I've never heard of, and I like to try new things. The nice gentleman at the window explained it's like frozen milk. And it was, but it was so much more amazing than just that. It's frozen regular, dry, and condensed milk with some saffron, cardamon, pistachios, and a little bit of rose water. I know it sounds a little strange, but it was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. The rose water isn't overpowering, and I enjoyed the new flavor. The whole dish was icy, sweet, and yet has a warm taste from the cardamon. I could have easily eaten a medium, and I'm so sad I only got a small. That's my bad. They aren't ready to do their hot food yet but I will happily make the hour drive from Great Valley to come back and try their actual food when it's available and get a larger size Sheer Yahk for sure.
July 23 · bloodunderrazorExtremely good tasting food and good quality!!! Can’t wait to go back and try the other options. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try an authentic cuisine.
February 02 · Jean MariePlace is closed down. I’m not sure why it’s showing up as open. Wasted 30 minutes driving up
