This article is designed specifically for you, the local user in Maryland, to provide an in-depth look at what makes Kavern a must-visit destination in Anne Arundel County for satisfying your sweet cravings.
Kavern has a rich history, having evolved from a movie store to the beloved dessert haven it is today. The name itself, "Ka-vern," is a charming tribute to its original owners, Kathy McLane and Vernon Geis, who took over around 30 years ago. What started primarily as a snowball stand quickly grew, with the owners even beginning to make their own syrup when their distributor closed – a testament to their dedication to quality. The ice cream shop was added in the early 2000s, expanding its offerings to include delicious Turkey Hill ice cream, including soft serve, and popular seasonal flavors like the Pumpkin Pie milkshake. It's this blend of tradition, quality, and a commitment to serving the community that makes Kavern a truly special place. As we delve further, you'll discover why people travel from miles around just to experience the delicious offerings and welcoming vibe of Kavern.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Good ice cream but only thing that annoys me is prices never seem to reflect what is actually posted. If I order a $5 milkshake and $2 ice am charged $9 somehow. Not sure why this always happens and if there is up charged but if so it should be more clear and posted. In general though ice cream and ice is good and there are places to eat both indoors and outdoors.
June 16 · Megan FoxCute classic ice cream shop with the best snoballs, sundaes, and milkshakes in the area!! They have something for everyone, and it's all delicious!
May 26 · Erin AKavern is one of Pasadena's hidden treasures. It boggles my mind in multiple ways how a snow ball can be so much better than everywhere else. I can't find anyplace else that even comes close so I've stopped trying. You have to experience this for yourself but be prepared because after you do then what you might have once thought was a good snow ball will be eclipsed. They only take cash so be ready for that too but it's worth it.

May 20 · Kim WigginsOld fashion egg custard is always my go to and is delicious anytime I come here! The Reese's pieces milkshake or sundae is heaven. I can say that I have never been disappointed with anything here... Especially the staff! Bathroom was also very clean and tidy. I have nothing but good things to say about this little 💎!
