The customer experience at KC’s Sweets can be a mixed bag, according to online reviews. One customer had a very negative experience, citing a "low quality, ignorant" interaction with staff, where they felt the employees were "unkind" and "bothered" by simple requests for a cup and spoon. This review highlighted feelings of "bitterness" and a disappointment that a fun family outing turned sour. The customer noted they wished they had spent their money elsewhere, and the interaction left them feeling that their $10+ purchase for two scoops was not worth it due to the poor service. This reviewer described the person working the shack as "super friendly" and praised the quality of a savory menu item, stating that the "cheese filled pretzel we got was piping hot and just the thing for walking along the beach." This person also noted that "All the ice cream looked good too," even though they didn't try it due to the chilly weather. These reviews showcase the highly variable nature of the customer service at KC’s Sweets. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had such a low quality, ignorant experience. From the beginning it seemed like both ladies, young and old were having a bad day and being unkind to anyone around them without a care for others. The younger woman was giving an attitude because I was unsure of what I wanted to order and then when it came time to order she seemed bothered instead of being happy to help. After ordering I told the older woman I could pay and explained what I chose. When I showed confusion of what I was getting vs what I ordered she showed distaste and angst towards me. Once I paid I asked for a cup and spoon so my kids could share without dropping the ice cream. The older woman huffed and puffed walked away. Talked about me under her breath to the younger woman. When she handed it to me she then said, “I should have charged you for this!” Then walked away. I told them that I did not appreciate their rude attitude and comments. The older woman with an awful attitude explained, “It is so busy today and everyone is asking for a bowl or a spoon!!” I told her good you have business and I just paid a lot of money for ice cream.Bitterness over weighed happinessWhat was supposed to be a fun, happy treat for my kids turned into a really awful experience. Wish I spent the $10+ for two scoops in a cone somewhere else.
August 04 · Jessica WalshThe person working the little treat shack was super friendly and the cheese filled pretzel we got was piping hot and just the thing for walking along the beach. All the ice cream looked good too, but it was a bit too chilly to give it a try.
May 20 · Jordan Friedlander (Bigredboots)Visited Lake Geneva with my family and went to get ice cream here with my daughters. The girl who took our order was extremely rude. She asked if my other daughter was having the same thing as the older one and I said the same cone but with cookies and cream ice cream not chocolate. Then she hands the ice cream and it was the same as the older daughters. I told her I wanted cookies and cream and not chocolate and she snatched the cone from my hand, rolled her eyes, muttered under her breath and continued making the cone with an attitude and made the whole “taking the kids out for ice cream” a disaster. No one that acts like that should be serving customers, especially giving attitude towards children. She had brown eyes, and long dark brown hair and seemed to be under 20 years old.
July 27 · Valerie GonzalezThe little girl with straight hair that took our order was extremely rude, my ice cream that I ordered fell over so I asked her nicely if I could get a new one, she did not give me any napkins and when she went to give me a new I cream she took the ice cream off the original cone with her hand and touched it, and then she put new cream on top of that which is really unsanitary, after I called her out for it she started yelling and saying extremely rude things to be instead of apologizing and owning up to her mistakes, then the guys she was flirting with then proceeded to tell her In front of me that he’s her witness and nothing happened to make it look like I’m the bad guy. That girl should be fired for not only violating the health code and lying but for arguing with a customer that did nothing.
July 04 · Natalia BogdanskaTried ice creams and banana milkshake from here, ice creams were good, milkshake was okay. The staff was nice as well.
