April 30 · marilyn ramirezLet me start off by saying I am in no way blaming the child in this situation. I’m not one to complain in person because I hate the drama and making people feel bad haha but I am the type to write a review. I’m very glad everyone else in these reviews had a good experience.I came in on Saturday 09/28/24. It took about 15 mins to get service because a lady was in the back working on some tortas, and a literal child, no older than 11, was working the front. She could not serve me because she needed the lady in the back to teach her how to make what i requested (a mangonada and elote). Once the lady in the back finished the tortas, she never came back out to help us. She made the little girl deal with it. I dont know what type of situation you guys have going on in here but child labor is very illegal. The lady was yelling instructions at her and the little girl made them to the best of her ability. The mangonada was absolutely delicious but I did not get what I paid for. Almost $10 for a mangonada that is nearly half empty because whoever is in charge is taking advantage of a LITERAL child. My elote ($5) was also missing a big chunk of space for the same reason. Again this is not the childs fault but this store needs some serious changes. Thats just so wrong on so many levels. That child obviously cannot legally work with food. The store has a servsafe certificate on the window but the way its ran doesnt reflect the certificate.I only gave 2 stars because like I mentioned, the mangonada is delicious. Mangos are fresh, juicy, and the ice cream is so divine and creamy.
