★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Used to love going here with the old owners now I just feel ripped off. We got two cups of ice cream, close to $8.00. To top it off they didn’t fill the cup all the way. I saw another post say the same thing and they said they filled the drive through cup less but mine wasn’t even filled up half way and they did it to the side so a 1/4 of the cup wasn’t even touched by ice cream. I hope the new owners get it together because it just isn’t the same. The ice cream is good though just hard to enjoy when I know I’m getting ripped off.
May 26 · Serena HouckDisappointed in new Loveland Dairy Whip. I bought a small and kiddie dipped cone for over $7! The chocolate dip was so thin that the vanilla soft serve seeped through and I had to ask for napkins to contain the mess. Couldn’t even taste the chocolate :( Chocolate dip needs more than one dip to be good. Service was faster through the drive thru as they take your order while waiting in line now. But, not worth the price, and hoping quality improves (maybe a learning curve with new people?).
July 05 · Becca2024 JulyA local institution, Loveland Dairy Whip is your summer soft serve destination. While the product is good, and the service homey, the price you pay comes without much more than the soft serve. If you stay, you dine in a parking lot. There is very limited parking. Vehicle access is tough as it's close to an intersection at the bottom of a hill on a curved road. This is a small seasonal business, so be patient with service, especially at the beginning of the season. It's cash only, so don't forget to crack open your kids piggy bank (who even carries cash these days?). And the prices are... OK, but not inexpensive.BTW: there's a sign on the window that the current owners are ready to sell and retire. Any budding entrepreneurs out there?
July 05 · D Hanson6/27/25 I visited Loveland Dairy Whip's drive-thru with my nieces after a day of swimming. Although I typically frequent Sprinkles due to proximity and fondness for their ice cream and staff, we opted to stop at Loveland Dairy Whip since it was conveniently located. The cashier engaged in a lengthy conversation with other staff members regarding a local high school, which I found inconsiderate as I had yet to receive my receipt (still never got it) or napkins. Furthermore, I purchased two kid cones with sprinkles for over $7, which was significantly more expensive than the same order at a nearby ice cream shop, where I typically pay $4. Unfortunately, the cone was stale, leaving me disappointed with the overall experience. As Loveland Dairy Whip is under new ownership, I hope they will focus on ensuring staff attentiveness to customers and reevaluate their pricing strategy to remain competitive with local ice cream shops.
June 28 · Robin SThis is one of my favorite places to take my grand kids when I am in the area. Dairy whip offers refreshing treats at a reasonable price and is much better then the “chain” brands.I enjoyed a cyclone with Reese’s, and my grandson enjoyed a spaceman kiddie cup.
