Plasko's Farm Creamery & Cafe Introduce
Tucked away in the charming town of Trumbull, Connecticut, Plasko's Farm Creamery & Cafe is a destination that feels like a step back in time. More than just a place to get ice cream, it’s a family-run farm that has cultivated a wholesome, community-oriented atmosphere. For years, locals have known and loved Plasko’s for its farm-fresh produce, seasonal events, and, most notably, its incredible creamery. The cafe and ice cream shop side of the business are what draw in crowds year-round, offering a delicious escape from the everyday. A recent visitor, who stopped on a whim, perfectly captured the essence of the place, noting that they had "heard of Plasko Farms for years, and I can see why it’s so popular."
The heart of the Plasko's experience lies in its commitment to fresh, homemade products. The ice cream is a perfect example, as it is made on-site using high-quality ingredients. A customer review highlighted this, saying the ice creams are "freshly made and are really good." The same reviewer praised the "black raspberry chocolate chunk" flavor, noting that it was "so creamy!" and that the shop had "some really unique ice cream flavors." This dedication to crafting exceptional and inventive flavors is a major reason why the creamery has such a loyal following. It gives customers a reason to come back again and again, eager to see what new and exciting flavors are on offer.
Plasko’s isn’t just an ice cream shop; it’s a complete experience. The cafe side offers a variety of baked goods and warm beverages, making it a perfect destination in any season. A visitor mentioned enjoying "hot chocolate and Bundt cake," which highlights the versatility of the cafe's menu. This combination of hot and cold treats ensures that the spot remains a popular choice even when the weather turns chilly. The atmosphere of the cafe area was described as "adorable," adding to the overall charm and cozy feel of the place. This multi-faceted approach to their business is a key part of what makes Plasko's such a cherished local spot.
While the quality of the products and the overall atmosphere receive rave reviews, the shop can get very busy, especially on holidays. One customer noted that it was "very popular" and that the line extended to the open seating area on Memorial Day. This popularity, while a great sign for the business, can lead to some service challenges. The same reviewer mentioned that a "cashier girl rushing us repeatedly" was a downside to their experience. However, this is a common issue for popular, high-traffic spots, and it's clear that the quality of the product and the overall experience are strong enough to keep people coming back. This is a testament to the strong reputation that Plasko's has built over the years as a "wholesome spot."

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Stopped here on a whim and I’m so happy that we did! I’ve heard of Plasko Farms for years, and I can see why it’s so popular. The cafe area was adorable, and there were so many delicious looking treats to choose from. I enjoyed hot chocolate and Bundt cake, and my husband took a walk to the ice cream shop side and got a scoop of black raspberry chocolate chunk. We really enjoyed the flavor, and it was so creamy! They had some really unique ice cream flavors, and we can’t wait to come back in the summer to try more. Such a wholesome spot!
January 27 · Food of CTVery popular place. Ice creams are freshly made and are really good. It was crowded on a Memorial Day with line extending to the open seating area. Servers are clearly overworked. The main thing that dampened our experience was the cashier girl rushing us repeatedly citing “anything else” before I even state the orders.
May 27 · Yasim KolathayilWife and I went here May 22. Wife had a coupon that entitled her to one free dry topping with the purchase of any size ice cream. Attendant said she didn't know if she could accept it even though it was clearly from Plasko's and was not expired. After checking with another employee, she agreed to honor the coupon. I went to the back counter to purchase a coffee and danish. I had to wait for a short time as there was no attendant at the counter. Tommy then appeared from the back room. I asked for a chocolate croissant (as there was one on display) only to be told they didn't have any. Might have been prudent to remove the croissant, that was on display, if there were none available. I had an apple fritter instead. Tommy warmed it up and it was delicious. The coffee was lukewarm but Tommy ran it through the steamer and it came out perfect. The atmosphere was great as we sat near the fireplace to enjoy our treats.Tommy was helpful and attentive. He provided 5 star service. The three stars are reflective of: the ice cream employees initial response to the coupon, displaying an item that was not available and a lack of an attendant upon initial approach to the service counter.
June 14 · Paul HI stopped by this coffee shop while my kids were playing soccer nearby. The place looked really cute and had that cozy, local vibe I love clearly a neighborhood favorite. I was excited to support a small business and everything started off well. However, when I picked up my coffee, I simply asked if I could add my own half-and-half. From that moment on, the warmth disappeared. The woman at the counter didn’t smile, didn’t respond just gave me a look that made me feel uncomfortable. It was disappointing. I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable, just to enjoy my coffee the way I prefer it.Even more off-putting, she seemed to make a comment about me to another customer. I found that unprofessional and honestly, a bit rude. It’s unfortunate because the shop has so much charm and potential, but a small moment like that can really affect the customer experience.
June 01 · Nurija BasicWe did the corn maze at plaskos farm today. $10 per person. Interactive game to find 6 different numbered photos. Took us about 30 mins which is was nice compared to another corn maze that we frequently visit near our home. The paths were rocky but pretty open compared the one we usually do. Some parts of the maze looked like the corn didn’t completely grow but that was more towards the back. If you do the maze you get a free coupon for a junior soft serve ice cream and a free hay ride which goes around the maze. The soft serve was delicious!! All home made ice cream. We also got an apple cider float. Lots of ice cream options and toppings. They also have a cafe area with coffee and tea lattes and hot apple cider and you can purchase apple cider & pumpkin donuts and pies.
