★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1One thing of note - it's cash / check only, no card. And the one thing that wasn't perfect first so I can sing praises afterwards - the back area near the bathrooms were a bit clustered, with what appeared to be a broken cart in the hallway. But other than that, this small little shop is amazing!! The ice cream was fantastic. The prices are great, the staff was very kind, and the shop itself was well kept and clean and organized! They also sell candy in the back, lots of varieties, even for those who don't like ice cream or have allergies - as well as serving four flavors of sherbet. An amazing little town shop. 5/5, would come back!!! Also a huge plus to considering going to Washington and Lee University...
July 13 · Jay BoothThe owner is so incredibly kind and sweet. I didn't realize it was cash/check only, and he still let me leave with the ice cream when I told him I wasn't sure if I would be able to return with cash before I left town. Thankfully, I've realized I have time in my schedule to go by and pay him tomorrow, and I plan to buy more when I do because the ice cream is absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality!I highly recommend this place. Even if you're just passing through the area it's worth the stop - just make sure you've got cash or checks!
May 21 · Chrys MorrisOh wow! We stopped by for a quick cup of ice cream and were blown away! We sampled a variety of the special flavors and loved the Cinnamon Graham and the Lemon Oreo. Each bite was luscious, rich, and creamy! I'm not an ice cream fanatic but I would absolutely drive two hours back here for this ice cream. I think it's taken the spot of BEST Ice Cream in Virginia for me!The staff was very kind, offered plenty of samples, was so kind to my children, and answered any questions we had! Great place!!
October 13 · Summer DainesSmall town parlor with hand mixed ice cream, homemade waffle cones (even chocolate dipped), and a candy area. The candy was fun, it had some nostalgia for me - giant jaw breakers, Coke gummies, etc. It is more pricy than the "average" ice cream cone, which makes sense because it is above average in quality and taste. Worth checking out if you have a sweet tooth. Family friendly environment. I need to go back and try a milkshake!
October 23 · Tom ChambersHomemade waffle cones daily and ice cream made in-house, easily the best in the county. Always friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. I've had nothing but great memories here since i was a kid. Candy selection in back and atm, cash only purchases
