★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been on a tour of ice cream shops in the area—so far Cherries, Sleeping Giant, and Barthel’s. I think Barthel’s wins for me, because they have 5 different flavors of soft serve: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cotton candy, and I think pineapple. I got the strawberry and it actually tasted like strawberry, rather than something artificial! In terms of prices, they are very high—that small cone dipped in rainbow sprinkles was $5. Still, for the occasional treat, Barthel’s has the best soft-serve among these 3 ice cream shops.
September 03 · Eric TaylorI actually really want to give this place a 5. The flavor selection was awesome. I was told that "Jan's Ice Cream" is from upstate New York. There was also a brand name ice cream offered that I didn't partake in. I tried the mango Lassi which was amazing although I selected three flavors that went together a little better. Gingersnap Molasses, Italian rainbow cookie and cinnamon crumb cake. The gingersnap was insane. Italian rainbow cookie was GOOD, although essentially just vanilla ice cream with rainbow cookie. The cinnamon crumb cake tasted like cinnamon crumb cake spot on but I've had much better cinnamon ice cream. The quality was good and this place may get a 5 if I return, possible trying different flavors. Spoons 5/5. Sidenote it was cash only but there's an ATM in the farm market next door. The portions also weren't amazing. 3 scoops was closer to what'd I'd expect for 2.
June 10 · Grace McKayGreat ice cream parlor. Tons of flavors and very nice staff.4 stars cause the owners only take cash, but a 5 star experience.
July 06 · Elijah SaintongeReally solid ice cream. They have a ton of unique flavors. The locally made option is definitely the move. I really liked the rum raisin and mango lasso flavors. Definitely recommend making a stop if you are in the area.
September 02 · Ilaissa RomeroWalk up hard and soft-serve ice cream. Large variety of flavors. Some all natural or sugar free. Healthy fast food, sandwiches and salads. Next to their farm stand and garden center.2022 update: love it!
