Gelato Shop Introduce
For residents of Pennsylvania, especially those in the Bucks County area, the quest for truly authentic Italian gelato often leads to one place: The Gelato Shop in New Hope. This charming establishment has earned a stellar reputation for bringing the genuine taste of Italy to the heart of a beloved American town. Unlike traditional American ice cream, which is made with cream and has a higher fat content, gelato is crafted with milk and is churned at a slower rate, resulting in a denser, smoother, and more intense flavor. The Gelato Shop has perfected this craft, creating a product that is not only delicious but also a true representation of the classic Italian dessert.

This dedication to quality is what separates The Gelato Shop from others and has cemented its place as a local favorite. Their pistachio gelato, for example, is praised for its natural color and rich, nutty flavor, a testament to their use of genuine ingredients.
Beyond the gelato itself, the atmosphere inside the shop is welcoming and friendly. The staff are passionate about their products and are always happy to guide customers through the various flavor options. This creates a positive and engaging environment where everyone, from first-time visitors to regular patrons, feels right at home. The shop is a place for discovery, where you can explore a range of classic and unique flavors, all while enjoying the charm of New Hope.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Awesome little shop! I was eating across the street and saw this place as I finished and knew I needed to have some. I hadn’t had Gelato since I went to Italy, because it’s hard to find “real” Gelato here. I must say, I was not disappointed with this gelato. I got pistachio: no fake colors, and it was most definitely authentic Gelato. So good. The prices were decent, better than other shops I’ve been to here. They also have Italian snacks, deserts, and pastas. If you’re looking for authentic Gelato, this is the place to go!
December 08 · Clifton NivisonI've been to all 50 states and have had either ice cream or gelato in mostly every one of them and this gelato is good, just not great, which it should be considering the price. It is EXPENSIVE! I understand that the rent in this area is high, but you'll go broke if you went here everyday. The fig mascarpone was excellent as were the espresso and hazelnut, but the price will keep me from going back.
November 05 · Jay SmithAvoid this place if possible!-5 starts if allowed. My family and I were visiting the area 1st time, my kids love ice cream and my husband and I love coffee, this place had both so we gave it a try… what a mistake!. The guy behind the counter didn’t even reply back to us when we politely greeted him, he said what do u want?? My kids look at us confused but we didn’t pay attention to his manners, then we asked him if my kids can try the flavor of the gelato before, and he looked annoyed. Honestly the gelato was just ok ,Then he touched his mustache and mouth and proceeded to prepare our coffee, the coffee machine was nasty ( I couldn’t believe my eyes when he started preparing our coffee)… the chocolate croissant tasted old . We just try to ignored the whole thing left the store, my husband that is less picky than me; tried the coffee and it was completely cold! …we threw everything in the trash…” spent our money trying to support local” … anyway there is a dunking donut like 2 blocks away from this place!
December 01 · Yudy DiazIce cream was great and staff were kind. But I got a pistachio paste to take home and once I got home I noticed the jar had been opened and already have eaten with a spoon inside ! I tried contacting the shop for a refund or something, but no response. Anyways great ice cream but if you buy something there check it hasn’t been opened.
August 16 · Isabelle Atallahvery bad I almost called the police! my family came to visit and we passed by this place which ruined the trip for us, the guy with the long hair is racist! my 12 year old daughter ordered 6 ice creams he refused to take her order saying there was no more ice cream when clearly he was right there in front of us he said we had taken a picture of him and asked us to delete it I showed him my cell phone which was dead because it had no charge I asked him to explain the reason for his behavior and he couldn't say anything I told him I would call the police but he hasn't said anything yet... disappointment for this place Nina's is a million times better.
