Milk & Froth Ice Cream Introduce
milk and froth ann arbor
Hello, Ann Arbor residents and visitors! When you’re strolling through the vibrant downtown area, the allure of a delicious frozen treat is hard to resist. Milk & Froth Ice Cream, located on South Main Street, has quickly become a standout destination for those in search of a unique and high-quality dessert experience. This article is your local guide to this artisanal ice cream shop, providing a clear and engaging overview based on real customer experiences and publicly available information. It’s a place that prides itself on small-batch, handcrafted creations, offering a refreshing departure from larger, more commercial ice cream chains.
Milk & Froth has made a name for itself by focusing on the fundamentals: using high-quality ingredients to create exceptional ice cream. The shop makes its hard-scoop ice cream from scratch in small batches, avoiding artificial colors, flavors, and chemical stabilizers. This commitment to a clean and natural product is a major draw for customers who appreciate a more authentic taste. The menu, while not as extensive as some larger chains, is carefully curated to offer a variety of both classic and inventive flavors. According to public data, popular choices include Honeycomb, Pecan Butter Brittle, and Malt Cherry Chocolate, all of which highlight the shop's dedication to quality and unique flavor profiles.
Customer reviews consistently praise both the products and the atmosphere. One reviewer, for example, exclaimed that the waffle cones are "phenomenal" and the Pecan Butter Brittle ice cream is "to die for." This kind of enthusiastic feedback is a strong indicator of the shop's quality and the deliciousness of its offerings. The same reviewer also highlighted a great customer service feature: the ability to sample any of the ice creams before making a purchase. This practice demonstrates a confidence in their product and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction, which is highly valued in the local community.
Another customer had a similarly positive experience with the taste, noting that their mother found the ice cream to be "delicious." This reviewer also appreciated the shop's unique interior design, which featured "red milk carton sections to sit upon," creating a charming and cute atmosphere. A significant highlight from this review is the mention of vegan options. The customer, who is lactose intolerant, was "pleasantly surprised to find a small selection of vegan ice cream" with at least three different flavors. This is a crucial feature for the Ann Arbor community, which has a strong demand for diverse and inclusive food options. While this customer didn’t get to try the vegan options on their first visit, they expressed a strong intention to return and do so, a testament to the appeal of these offerings.
It is also worth noting the price point. One review mentioned that a single scoop costs about $5, which is "a little steep," but their mother confirmed it was "definitely worth it." This feedback is valuable because it frames the price in the context of value. For many, the high quality of the ingredients, the unique flavors, and the overall experience justify the slightly higher cost. This reinforces Milk & Froth's position as a premium, artisan ice cream shop rather than a budget-friendly option, a distinction that is important for local users to understand.
In an area with many ice cream options, Milk & Froth sets itself apart with its creative approach and quality-first mindset. The menu often includes a mix of staple flavors and rotating seasonal offerings, keeping the experience fresh and exciting for regulars. The shop’s use of organic and locally sourced ingredients, like milk and cream from Guernsey Farms Dairy, further solidifies its commitment to both quality and supporting the local Michigan economy. For those looking for something beyond the ordinary, Milk & Froth offers an experience that is both indulgent and thoughtfully crafted.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is the second time I have came here and the first waffle cones are phenomenal and the pecan Butter Brittle ice cream is to die for! If you haven't tried this place I recommend you come try them out. They will let you sample any of the ice creams first to make sure you like them before purchasing. And if you're vegan I have four different options for you as well!
June 05 · Patricia LewisWe stopped in from the cold to get some heat and also ice cream - honeycomb. The interior of the restaurant was so cute with what looked to be red milk carton sections to sit upon. Take it from my Mother, the ice cream was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to find a small selection of vegan ice cream. Considering I’m lactose intolerant, I should have tried one of the three flavours they had. Alas, I’ve been so sick before on ice cream that I’m shell shocked - this and I’m on a diet! I will try it the next time I return to Ann Arbor. The price of the ice cream for a single scoop is a little steep at $5, but my Mother said it was definitely worth it.
March 03 · Angela BrownThis creamery is a gem—great variety of interesting, unique flavors that go beyond the usual. The staff was super helpful and genuinely kind, making the experience even sweeter. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!
July 19 · J GooseAmazing ice cream! We got malted cherry chocolate and roasted strawberry and both flavors were delicious. I didn't even realize the strawberry was vegan until my husband pointed it out, and would totally eat it again regardless. Our favorite part was the homemade waffle cone, which was an absolute steal for just $1 extra. It was strong enough to hold up the ice cream while providing a great chewy, cookie-like texture when bitten.
April 21 · Serena LuoLovely new space! The flavors of ice cream are great and very yummy! There is a good mix of vegan and dairy flavors - perfect for everyone! Grand opening is coming up soon, so be sure to check it out! The design is very cool inside and quite unique.
