The Scoopery Ice Cream Introduce
For anyone visiting or residing in the New York region, particularly in the iconic Niagara Falls area, The Scoopery Ice Cream offers a straightforward and much-needed respite, especially on a warm day. Situated amidst the bustling tourist attractions, this ice cream kiosk provides a convenient spot to grab a refreshing treat. While it operates as a smaller, more focused establishment, its primary aim is to deliver solid ice cream options to help you cool down and enjoy a sweet moment during your exploration of the falls. It's a practical choice for those seeking a quick and satisfying dessert without venturing far from the main attractions, making it a valuable stop for locals and visitors alike in the vibrant New York landscape.
---The Scoopery Ice Cream is conveniently located at 151 Buffalo Ave, Niagara Falls, NY 14303, USA. This address places it right in the heart of the Niagara Falls tourist district, making it highly accessible for anyone visiting the iconic waterfalls and surrounding attractions. Its position on Buffalo Avenue means it's likely within easy walking distance of many hotels, viewpoints, and other points of interest in the area.
As a "small kiosk," The Scoopery is designed for quick service, which is ideal for tourists and locals on the go. However, this also means it has a limited capacity for staff, which can lead to lines backing up quickly during busy periods, especially if multiple family orders are being placed. While specific parking information isn't provided, being in a major tourist area suggests that visitors would likely utilize existing public or designated parking lots nearby for the overall Niagara Falls experience. Despite potential waits during peak times, its central location makes it an undeniable convenient stop for a cold treat in the bustling Niagara Falls area of New York.
---Ice Cream: The primary service offered by The Scoopery is ice cream. While specific brands or an extensive list of flavors are not detailed in the provided reviews, it is noted that the "ice cream is solid," indicating a satisfactory quality for a quick treat. They likely offer both hard ice cream and soft serve options, standard for an ice cream kiosk.
Single and Double Scoops: The kiosk caters to various portion sizes, with visitors specifically mentioning "selecting the flavors for 2 scoops," implying that single and multiple scoop options are available.
Electronic Kiosk Ordering: The Scoopery utilizes electronic kiosks for ordering. While this aims to streamline the process, a customer review mentioned that "only one was working" and that "a lot of visitors were having issues with selecting the flavors for 2 scoops," indicating potential technical or user-experience challenges with the system.
Beverages: Although not specified as a highlight, the mention of "drinks" implies that the kiosk also sells various beverages to accompany the ice cream, though their pricing was noted as potentially "egregious" compared to ice cream.
Convenient Location in Tourist Area: One of the most significant highlights is its strategic location at 151 Buffalo Ave, right within the popular tourist district of Niagara Falls. This makes it an incredibly convenient stop for visitors exploring the falls and surrounding attractions who need a quick refreshment.
"Solid" Ice Cream Quality: Despite some operational feedback, the ice cream itself is described as "solid" and enjoyable, particularly on a hot day. This indicates that the core product meets expectations for a satisfying treat.
Essential for Hot Weather: Given its location in an outdoor tourist area, the availability of ice cream is highlighted as "somewhat required" on a heat advisory day, fulfilling a practical need for visitors seeking to cool down.
Pricing: While acknowledging that it's "priced up," typical for tourist areas, the ice cream is noted as "not as egregiously" priced as the drinks, suggesting a relatively reasonable value for the frozen treats in this high-demand location.
Designed for Quick Service (Kiosk Model): The use of electronic kiosks is intended to provide quick and efficient service, allowing customers to place their orders rapidly.
Areas for Improvement (as noted by customers):
Queue Management: As a small kiosk, lines can "back up quickly and take a while to move" when multiple family orders are placed. This indicates a potential challenge during peak hours.
Electronic Kiosk Functionality: Issues with the electronic kiosks, such as only one working and difficulties with flavor selection for multiple scoops, were reported. This can lead to frustration for customers.
Customer Service Responsiveness: One customer noted that suggestions regarding kiosk functionality and assisting non-English speaking tourists "fell on deaf ears," indicating a need for more proactive customer service in addressing operational issues and improving communication.
Staffing Limitations: The "limit to how many staff they can comfortably fit inside" a small kiosk can impact service speed and the ability to handle high volumes efficiently.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The ice cream is solid, and on a heat advisory day somewhat required. It's priced up, of course, but not as egregiously as the drinks. The main issue is that it's a small kiosk so there's a limit to how many staff they can comfortably fit inside, so if people are ordering for their entire family the lines back up quickly and take awhile to move.
July 07 · Dan Pencoske2 Stars because the ice cream was good however the service wasn't the greatest especially after I mentioned some suggestions.Of 2 electronic kiosks only one was working and a lot of visitors were having issues with selecting the flavors for 2 scoops. When I brought this up, the employees said that's how the system is. I mentioned there are a lot of non English speaking tourists that didn't understand the menu and said that it's confusing to not be able to choose multiple flavors for a double scoop. I mentioned letting them know or putting up a sign. My suggestions fell on deaf ears. The lack of work ethic and ambition is saddening.
July 04 · Daniela F.The lemon sorbet was phenomenal and was the perfect refreshment after a two hour wait for the Maid of the Mist in 90° heat.
July 05 · MegaLadybug97I recently visited this ice cream shop with my friend and was extremely disappointed with the service. Despite there being only six people ahead of us, we ended up waiting for over an hour. The workers were incredibly slow and seemed unhappy. On a 30-degree day, it was frustrating to see some of the staff chatting amongst themselves instead of helping customers who were waiting outside in the heat. While the ice cream itself was good, it definitely wasn’t worth the long wait and poor service!
June 23 · Marina DessOf the worst services I have received in my life, (Tuesday August / 27 4:25 pm) the teenagers who work there seem to be forcing them to work, an annoying, selfless and at some point even rude attitude; If you want an ice cream, I don’t think this is the place, you will surely find something better.
